High quality care in a beautiful setting

Proud to be the number one recommended Care Home in Wales...

Our aim at Mayflower is to provide the highest quality personal care.  We will endeavor to make the residents’ admission and stay as pleasant as possible.  We take a holistic approach to the care provided and each resident is fully assessed prior to admission in order to ensure that their immediate needs can be fully met.

After a new residents joins us at Mayflower, a person centred care plan is drawn up identifying the care that will be required for that particular resident. The information is gathered from some or all of the following sources - Hospital, Residents GP, Social worker and where possible the resident themselves. The care plans are checked regularly and day to day information is recorded and passed onto each new shift, Care plans are constantly reviewed and revised as necessary if the residents needs change or alter.

Each resident is actively supported and encouraged to maximise their independence within a safe environment. Our philosophy is to promote the residents’ freedom of choice in order that they can make decisions for themselves. If this not possible, consultation with their family will help this.

Family and representatives are encouraged to have an input in the care that their relative receives. Any concerns raised will be acted upon in a positive way. Residents’ next of kin will be promptly informed of any changes regarding the well  being of the resident.
